'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League return

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the maiden significant achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's main focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
  • New contract discussions could commence in the coming future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring record continues to amaze
